November portraits of
Fagus sylvatica 'Pendula'
The weeping green beech has been such a
rewarding tree for all seasons, & is
particularly impressive in autumn garb.
The intense yellow, copper, & gold lasts the entirety of
November, & then the leaves turn brown,
sometimes clinging some while longer depending
on wind & rain patterns.
The evergreen shrub partially sheltered by the
weeping beech is 'Hill's Bright Red' Rhododendron.
These are right beside the front yard staircase.
