Bunchberry

   

Most years there aren't a great many berries on the patch of bunchberries,
often only one or two berries per half-dozen plants.
But in June 2004 there were (relative to previous years)
quite a few berries throughout the patch. The berries are edible,
but bland, & we leave them on the plant
for their long-lasting ornamental value.
