Miranda is the chihuahua of Sardinian pop singer Valerio Scanu. Valerio was runner up on the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2008, and soon afterward released his first album, Sentimento, which went gold, and the title song reached Number One on the Italian charts. In 2010 he became the youngest winner ever, in the 60th edition of Sanremon Music Festival's song contest. He brings Miranda at most of his concerts.
