Kym Marsh, formerly Kym Ryder, is a British singer, movie and soap actress, posing with her white longhair chihuahua Charlie.

In 2010, she adopted a rescue lab-mix puppy named Oliver. But grumpy seven-year-old Charlie and rambunctous Oliver could not get along, and the chihuahua took precidence, so tearfully Kym find Oliver another home with a family friend. As it had been a very public televised adoption, "abandoning" Oliver only two months later got Kym some bad press.
