The affectation of Japanese rock stars for the last many years has been toward extreme effeminacy. Yet when Roku gets dressed up like a samurai, woohoo, every man, boy, woman, and girl on Earth could well be slobbering over him. In any case, this cliche diva affectation extends to devotion to tiny dogs, and many a j-rocker has one or more chihuahua.
