Because chihuahuas have big eyes and big ears just like Gizmo in the movie Gremlins (1984), Gizmo ends up being the name of lots of chihuahuas, including the blue-eyed longhair above, when she was ten months old.

Gizmo was such a cutie that when she grew up, she went on to a modeling career, and is shown below in one of her gigs, pitching Solvit's Pup Steps.
