European theater and silent film actress Natalie Kowanko with her chihuahua. She was active in the 'teens through the 'twenties, and starred in such films as The Tales of a Thousand and One Nights (1921), Michel Strogoff (1926), and Olga in Flames (1934).
She is probably best remembered today by ephemera collectors, as her former popularity made her the subject of a "cigarette card" and a number of photographic postcards, including this one.
