French actress Stacia Napierkowska (1891-1945) was the star of over 80 silent movies, including the influential serial Les Vampires (1915-16).

During a dance performance in New York in 1913, she was arrested for indecency. Her chihuahua was regarded world-wide as a heroic little conqueror because he got to sleep with Stacia in her bed.
