Chihuahua (2006) is a goofy short subject directed by Alex Duplan and Carlos Tourne, lampooning the mariachi stereotype which is so very popular among people who like to put their chis in costumes. The dog-actor is the well known Cricket who appears in many films and commercials.
This was a promotional short subject for the International Latino Film Festival in San Francisco, and depicts a singing and dancing mariachi chihuahua. It strongly disses Mariachi performers denying their traditional, and implies that the stereotype is racist rather than authentic. You'd think the naively political filmmakers couldn't be any more wrong, but then they top themselves with animal abuse as "joke."
