This is a romantic comedy about a man who considers his chihuahua Shangqui (or Sanggu) to be the best companion possible, so is seemingly immune to species-appropriate romance. This is a remake of a Japanese telefilm/dramedy, but in the Japanese version the guy had a pug named Ken-chan.
