Dr. Rebecca H. Rhoades, a veterinarian and executive director of the Kauai Humane Society, with Sally her blind chihuahua, ound abandoned and injured on a roadside on Kauai; and Stella, who was a Hurricane Katrina rescue from New Orleans. "Dr. Becky" headed up an all-volunteer team of animal handlers who specialized in aggressive dogs that needed especially careful management after Katrina.
