I am skeptical a diet rich in fat, carbs, and salt is ever good for a dog, but veteranarian Emma Kikinsooki claims Mardy, an unusually small three-pound chihuahua, has such an abnormally high metablism that he requires 5,000 calories per day.
I'd want an independent medical analysis of Mardy's dwarfism, as that's too small for a healthy chi. But let's hope Dr. Kikinsooki isn't just Dr. Kooky. She brags that Mardy has eaten two Hungry Man Sports Grill Dinners every day for five years, without gaining weight. His favorite is "beer battered chicken and cheesefries." [2009]
