Journalist Annie Payne wrote about how she obtained her chihuahua/minpin mix Suzie, in one of her articles for the Home and Garden section of Colorado's The Grand Junction Daily Sentinal.

Suzi had squeezed through the backyard fence of the previous owner and was found by Annie. While Annie was tracking down the owner by its collar information, she found herself falling for the little critter's big begger eyes.
