Xeno (pronounced Chino) is half chihuahua, half xoloitzcuintli (Mexican hairless), adopted from a rescue shelter. She's blind in one eye due to an infection acquired when little. And fate being what it is, she has a cataract over the other eye. So she's blind and often disgruntled "but loveable" her parents say.

She has participated in the Ugliest Dog Contest, but was too pretty to win. Xeno says of herself, "I'm just about completely bald less some tufts here and there that my mom says adds character. I'm 8 years old, I love fruit, sniffing around in the grass and being the center of attention."
