Above) Champion bitch La Oro Palomita de Oro, bred and owned by Anna B. Vinyard of Cincinatti, Ohio, at her La Oro Kennel. Mrs. Vinyard held the record in her day for most champion chihuahuas, numbering 41 by 1947, when this photo was published. In 1954 Mrs. Vinyard journeyed to England and provided new blood for the breeding programs of members of the British Chihuahua Club. She was one of the first presidents of the American Chihuahua Club.
