The woman on the left is unidentified, but in the middle is Dora Wells, a breeder who had developed her lineage throughout the 1940s and whose champions still appear in show dog pedigrees. Her first bitch and sire were Dona Sol of Belamie and Mi Pedro of Belamie, long regarded as among the most significant ancestors of generations since.
