Rhododendron 'Loder's White'
In April, the evergreen 'Loder's White'
becomes a candelabrum of pink buds.
The fact that the buds are themselves so
beautifully flowery even before full flower occurs,
this shrub gives the impression of being
in flower most of the spring.
Later in April there are tall slender pink buds
right alongside opened trusses, which lose
the pink shade & are nearly pure white.
The shrub will nearly disappear beneath
white trusses for much of May.
In the background you can see
the Oshio Beni Japanese maple.
